Post Userbars Tutorial for beginners
First we made a new document with size 350x19.

Image

Grab the Gradient tool and click on the top of your document and drag the mouse to the end of it.

Image

We have this.

Image

Now is time to build our pattern. Create a new document : 6x6 with transparent background.

Image

We made something like this with pencil tool.(with 1px diameter selected)

Image

Go to Edit=>Deffine patern and save it as a pattern.
Grab the Pattern stamp tool and choose our new pattern.

Image

Open your picture and hit CTRL + A then CTRL + C. I use this Image

Image

Go to our userbar and hit CTRL + V. We copy and paste our picture to the userbar. Now move it with the arrow keys.

Image

Add some Blending options. I use Outer glow.

Image

Add text. Visitor BRK font, size 10, anti-aliasing - none. Add stroke.

Image

Create a new layer. With Elliptical marquee tool made something like this.

Image

Move it to the top with the arrow keys.

Image

Fill it in white. Go to Edit=>Fill

Image

Create a new layer. Hit CTRL+A and go to Edit=>Stroke

Image

Here is mine Image :D

No Codeman, the tutorial doesn't work for PaintShop Pro... I suggest that you install Photoshop :D

Hey Dita, good tutorial. I think you should add Photoshop in the subject as it is for Photoshop only. :D

Tnks Dita! I just want to increase these tutorial, maybe i'll do my own, saying that, to make the stripes "////" get near from each other, just create the pattern smaller, like 3x3.

Post Why complicate?
Just use the Ellipse tool:

Image

Draw something as the same size of the userbar:

Image

White, try different colors and you'll get crazy effect.

Now select the layer Opacity, from 25% to 40% is good.

Image

Use SHIFT ARROW UP, to aglin correctly and show look like this:
