Hello, wadie:
I assume you want your image to be 250px wide by 150px tall (or do you want it 150px wide by 250px tall as you've indicated in your post). The convention for specifying image size is width x height. LBBL _________________ ![]() "To be an artist is to believe in life." Henry Moore |

Thanks, wadie:
I'll try to work something up in the next few days. (I can't get to it quicker than that, because I have other things going on.) LBBL _________________ ![]() "To be an artist is to believe in life." Henry Moore |

Hello, wadie:
I decided to go ahead and work up some images for you now, rather than waiting. When I reduced your Rosie image proportionately to 250px tall, it turned out to be 186px wide. So, I had to remove 36px in width to achieve your desired 150px width. (I cropped 20px from the left side and 16px from the right side.) I chose a font that I thought was "elegant" and rather bold, so that I could use a gradient fade in the letters. I sampled the greens in the fade and letter outline from the greens in the image. I experimented with blue, but it didn't look right because there really isn't any blue in the image. I made two versions for you, one with wadie being horizontal and the other with wadie being vertical. The direct links to the images are: horizontal, Version_1: http://postimage.org/image/t7as20mxp/ vertical, Version_2: http://postimage.org/image/eu3jygyt7/ Of course, when you click on a link and the image comes up, you can right-click and do a "save as" in the usual way. Also, if you click on "show codes" you can get the image codes. I don't know which of the Hotlink for Forums (1) or (2) works for userbars.be. I hope you like the images. I experimented with letter effects (i.e., drop shadows, etc.) but they made the image look worse, not better. In this case, in my opinion, simplicity won out. Great, wadie, I'm so glad you liked it!
Which one did you like better, the horizontal letters or the vertical letters? I'm also curious if you are going to use the image as a forum avatar or signature or just add it to your "private collection". LBBL _________________ ![]() "To be an artist is to believe in life." Henry Moore |

I'm gonna use it as a forum avatar.
I liked the horizontal version. EDIT: it looks a bit weird on this forum, but perfect on other forums. np |

Thanks for responding, wadie:
No way with a woman as pretty as Rosie can you associate the word "weird" with any image she's in! LOL! LBBL _________________ ![]() "To be an artist is to believe in life." Henry Moore |

I was just thinking, wadie, that different forums have different size restrictions for avatars.
For example, one forum I'm on only allows avatars to be 100px tall, maximum. I made the Rosie image 250px tall, as you requested. If you simply reduce the image proportionately down from 250px to 100px, it's liable to get "blurry". If this happens for you, let me know -- (you can PM me) -- and I'll reduce the 250px image down to whatever size you need and then "sharpen" it in Photoshop. That should restore the clarity adequately. You can PM me for however many different sized images you need, and I can reduce and sharpen for you. It just takes a minute per image. I hope you enjoy looking at Rosie on your different forums! LBBL _________________ ![]() "To be an artist is to believe in life." Henry Moore |
