I will be short, I got this in mind:
2 teams (2 people in each team) challenge each others in a battle.
The teams define a Main Theme (such as: music, games, movies, ambients), then each team choose a subtheme (metal vs rock; fps vs action; dark vs light and so on...). The subthemes can be opposites or related in some way

Example of related themes (main subject: gaming platforms):
Team A (Chimera - person #2) choose: Personal Computer.
Both team members make userbars about PC.

Team B (person #3 - person #4) reply with: Xbox 360.
Both team members make userbars about Xbox 360.

Example of opposite themes (main subject: feelings):
Team A (Chimera - person #2) choose: Hate.
Both team members make userbars about hate.

Team B (person #3 - person #4) reply with: Love.
Both team members make userbars about love.

We put the 4 bars in a pool with only 2 voting options, everyone vote for the fav. Team (so the voter should consider both bars of a team to cast his vote for one of them), then we decree the winner as always.

It's really a matter of teamwork to win, because users can like one of the userbars but dislike the other one in the team, and you cannot base your success only on your own work and at the same time you should trust your teammate.

Well, it's unusual, but let me know what do you think about it.

If they like the idea, we can give it a try.

Naturally, the deadline for entries should be about 4-5 days, to let the teammates cooperate in some way.
And of course, the challengers cannot vote (neither for the other team). 2 votes make the difference you know

The idea is great and I like the concept. But because we already allow multiple battles per person; I'm not sure how we could work with team battles.

Also, there already is a problem in agreements on casual userbar battles, I think that with these team battles that problem will only increase.

Battles are not really that popular in my opinion and agreeing a theme person to battle with etc there is very few members that do them regular.
Another note maybe a UB Battle knockout competition like quarter finals, semi-finals then final with different theme for each final.

Eg.
Person A
Person B
Person C
etc, etc

Winner from Person A/B battles with winner from C/D
And so on like a battle/competition in one.
